Khor Al Beidah wetlands are one of the notable leisure spots near Al Salamah. It attracts thousands of birds of 25 different species. The best time to visit the wetland is from October to April when birds go to feed on small worms that live in mudflats. Crab Plover and the Great Knot are the sought-after birds that can be seen at Khor Al Beidah.
Dreamland Aqua Park is one of the oldest waterparks in the UAE spread over an area of 250,000 sq. m. The waterpark is a popular choice for those looking for an affordable summer fun destination. It has around than 30 slides, rides with dining and camping facility.
Built inside a fort, Umm Al Quwain National Museum is another remarkable landmark nearby. The archaeological finds from Ed Dur and Tel Abraq are highlights of the museum.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES, FITNESS AND BEAUTY
The calm ambience of H.H Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Park attracts visitors to the park. It is one of the popular public parks in Umm Al Quwain located in an 11-minute drive from Al Salamah. It features a kids play area, a small cafeteria and lush green area. FootBox Sports Club is a sports facility within the area. It has playgrounds for football and other sports.
Health-conscious residents will find plenty of gyms nearby. These include VIP Fitness Training, Red Belt Club and 24 Gym.

UPCOMING PROJECTS
Umm Al Quwain Coop Project by Union Coop is an upcoming project in Al Salamah 3. It will be a residential and commercial project with two-storey basement, ground and two floors above. The estimated build-up area of the project is 191,742 sq. ft. It will feature 15 shops, a hypermarket, 70 residential apartments and 427 parking spaces. The expected date of completion of the project is March 2021.

Al Salamah is located in the centre of the city with all the necessities of life in easy reach. The area has educational institutes, medical facility, shopping and dining options in abundance. These features make it an ideal residential community to reside in. However, there is a lack of public transport in the area but taxis are easily available for the commute.
